Service Learning :Reflecting Last Year
For service learning last year I did elementary tutoring we went to Independent Charter and we helped out with grades first-fifth.We visit them I think two times out of a week and each week we would get a younger child and we would help with they homework or classwork they were having trouble with.We would sometimes make games up for the subject they were having difficulty in.Last year I learned a lot from the kids I also learn how organize teacher have to be on gathering they schedules down also with trying to manage a lot of kids in one class.For the last day we went over to Independence Charter and it was a assembly that we attended which some of the kids we tutored was in they did the salsa,a cultural Greek dance,acted and sung songs, It was fun last year I really learned a lot from the younger kids and I 'm sure they learned a lot from me too.For this year I would like to do something difference not because I didn't like tutoring the kids but because I want to try something new every year because all of them is benefiting for one thing and that's helping out the community.

Sciene Project:Reasoning For My Project And My research

Sometimes when you’re bored and your mind goes wondering you often worry about a lot of stuff. One day my mind went wondering about toothpaste because of a comment my mother made about putting toothpaste on my pimple and I looked with such shock and confusion so it made me wonder what’s chemical reaction cause by toothpaste enable it to remove unwanted stains and materials. That’s when I started to develop an idea for this project. I had many other objects I would have choose but I thought this one would be fun and I would learn a whole lot of things from it. I conducted my research based upon the toothpaste brand I was using which is Colgate and I used a specific kind, which was the whitening oxygen bubbles brisk mint toothpaste. I looked the brand up on the internet and I got thousands of results but I stuck to the one that helped me out the most which was the web site called www.weired.com and I typed in the brand of toothpaste I had and it showed me what was in it. This website talk about what’s in it and how it plays a part in toothpaste. I was able to relate on this well because it helped me understand the part in the toothpaste that played a role in the experiments I did. This website helped me out a lot and I would definitely Look on it again for another project because it gave you a clear understanding. Overall I loved this project and hopefully I find another just as great as this.

Topic Essay: Little Rock Nine

Imagine you where a black student in Little Rock, Arkansas and you where a teenager and you walk threw a crowd of angry mob. What would you do? What would you be thinking? Well back in 1957 nine students walked threw an angry mob of white people who were mad and felt as if an other race was taking over they land so they refused. In this essay I will discuss why I choose this topic, where did I get my resources, and what do I expect to get out of this project.
First I will explain why I choose this topic. I choose this topic because it was one of those topics that caught my eye I felt as if I can really get into this topic and express my feelings. I think that this one I have this year would go much farther than the one last year and I can really plan my thoughts out and really tell the story and my point of view. I really love this topic and I think my board will express how much my partners and me enjoyed it.
Next is my resources I get most of my resources from the internet and I got two book resources which is called Warriors Don’t Cry and Understanding little Rock High incident one is by Melba Patillo Beals and the other one is by Melba Pataillo Beals and the other one C. Ford William. Like I said before I got a lot of my resources from the stuff that I never knew like they didn’t start off as the little rock nine it was a name just giving to them and they are known in American History Books I also learned what happened to the students after and it’s still move to come because I’m still looking for more information because I feel as if it’s never too much information.
Lastly is what I expect to get from this project. I expect to learn a lot and experience a lot from this project. Now while doing my research I’m learning a lot about this topic but I still want to learn more. I want to research so much that all I do is think about the little Rock Nine. When me and my partners get our board I will get a lot out of it such as learning how to tell a story on an board and expressing my opionons. And lastly I expect to have fun because I don’t want to be bored I want to do my work and have fun with my partners.
